Do I need previous experience?
Previous experience in any of the above positions is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
Will I be security checked?
Yes this is an essential requirement with all our posts
What training is provided?
On commencement of employment you will undergo a full 5 day induction training programme followed by on the job training under supervision. You will be required to attend regular updated training and supervision throughout your employment
Mandatory training is as follows:
- Induction – full 5 days to include Company Policies & Procedures
- Customer Care
- Fire Safety
- Moving and Handling
- Administration of Medication
- Protection of Vulnerable Adults
- Child Protection
- Infection Control
- Awareness of Basic First Aid
- Food Hygiene
In addition to the Mandatory training listed we will provide other topics to enhance learning and understanding in health and social care. Opportunities will also be offered to those employees who would like to undergo training at QCF (Quality Care Framework) Level 2 & 3
What are the rates of pay?
Nursing & Caring Direct offer competitive rates of pay which will be disclosed to you at interview
Do I receive holiday pay?
Yes you will receive paid leave in line with the statutory entitlement of 28 days per year based on full time hours and pro rata thereafter
Do I receive a uniform?
Yes you will receive a Nursing & Caring Direct uniform and PPE
Can I work flexible or part time hours?
Yes we have positions available for full or part time hours weekdays and weekends.
Do I need my own transport?
You will be required to have your own transport.
I am a Student can I work for you?
Yes we welcome Students who can work when not studying
What is the minimum age I have to be to work for Nursing & Caring Direct?
The minimum age is 18 due to the nature of our business
Do I have to Register with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)?
Yes this is a regulatory requirement for all posts subject to commencing employment with Nursing & Caring Direct
Is there a minimal educational requirement to work for Nursing & Caring Direct?
All applicants must have a very good level of written and spoken English
