Locations: Lisburn, Moira, Hillsborough, Glenavy, Dunmurry, Ballinderry, Ballynahinch
Contract Types: Full-Time, Part-Time, and Bank Positions
Shifts Available:Mornings, Evenings, Weekends (must be flexible to work every other weekend)
Please note: A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday: £12.45 per hour

  • Saturday and Sunday: £13.35 per hour

  • Bank Holidays: £13.50 per hour

Working Patterns:

  • Full-Time: 30+ hours per week (includes alternate weekends)

  • Part-Time: 16–25 hours per week (includes alternate weekends)

  • Evening Roles: Flexible hours (includes alternate weekends)

About the Role:
Nursing and Caring Direct is currently recruiting Domiciliary Care Workersto support individuals across the South Eastern Trust area. This role is essential in helping service users remain safely in their own homes with as much independence as possible, while upholding their dignity, privacy, and quality of life.

Whether you have experience or are new to care, we offer full training and ongoing support to help you succeed in this rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care and emotional support in a respectful and professional manner

  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

  • Support with meal preparation and feeding where required

  • Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals

  • Carry out light housekeeping tasks (laundry, tidying, etc.)

  • Accompany clients to appointments and outings

  • Observe and report changes in a client's condition or behaviour

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Compassionate, reliable, and patient approach

  • Ability to follow care plans and work independently

  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

  • Physically able to assist with mobility and manual handling

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (required)

  • Willing to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check

  • Registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential — training will be provided
