Locations: Moira | Hillsborough | Glenavy | Dunmurry | Ballinderry | Ballynahinch
Positions Available: Full-Time | Part-Time | Bank
Shift Patterns: Mornings | Evenings | Weekends (must be available to work alternate weekends)

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday: £12.45 per hour

  • Saturday and Sunday: £13.35 per hour

  • Bank Holidays: £13.50 per hour

Flexible Working Options:

  • Full-Time: 30+ hours per week (including alternate weekends)

  • Part-Time: 16–25 hours per week (including alternate weekends)

  • Evenings: Flexible hours (including alternate weekends)

About the Role:

Nursing and Caring Direct is currently recruiting Domiciliary Care Workers to support clients across the South Eastern Trust area. This is a meaningful role that helps individuals remain safe and independent in their own homes while preserving their dignity and quality of life.

Whether you’re experienced or new to care, we offer full training and ongoing support to help you grow in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care and emotional support in a professional, respectful manner

  • Assist with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and grooming

  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when required

  • Administer medication as per care plans

  • Carry out light housekeeping duties (e.g. laundry, tidying)

  • Accompany clients to appointments and outings

  • Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Compassionate, reliable, and patient approach

  • Ability to follow care plans and work independently

  • Physically able to support clients with mobility and manual handling

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)

  • Willing to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential — training will be provided
